Long Term JFK Airport Parking
For a New York City airport, John F. Kennedy International, also known as JFK, is no different from many other
departure locations. Set up with parking provided in categories, travelers can chose as they see fit where to place
their car when flying.
For those on a long haul trip or extended travel, the Long-Term Parking zones are the best
options. JFK long-term parking can be found about four miles from Terminals 1 through 8
so use of a shuttle will be necessary to get to the main airport areas.
For those who are disabled, specific spots are available for customer needs as long as the
vehicle retains a disabled person placard when using the parking spot.
As an alternative to trafficking between the airport and parking, customers of JFK long-term
parking can take advantage of the Kiss and Fly center (kissing optional), which provides shuttling via the Air Train
station system. This transportation will get a passenger to the airport terminal within approximately 10 minutes without
any cost involved.
To plan ahead for parking, travelers can call for a parking update to find out if the various parking zones are fairly free
or overwhelmed with demand. Calls can be made for a voicemail status message to (718) 244-4080.
Alternatively, if a traveler finds him or herself stranded in the
parking lot (dead battery, etc.), emergency services can be
reached at either one of the yellow help boxes dotted
throughout the zones or by calling (718) 244-4168. If there is a
crime or emergency help needed travelers should either use a
yellow box or call (718) 244-4335.
As with other airports, rates for JFK long-term parking will
fluctuate depending on the determination of the airport
authority. Generally, long-term parking runs approximately $18
for the first day and then $12 for each 24-hour period
afterwards.
Due to security concerns, all vehicles parked in JFK long-term
parking and other parking zones are subject to inspection. If
suspicious items are noticed, authorities can either open or
remove the vehicle for closer inspection if determined
necessary. Travelers are cautioned not to leave anything of
value in side their cars.
